Community Language Exchange Institute is a learning language and cultural exchange institute located in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, founded by an esteemed Georgetown university social work director and two Dominican experienced language professors.
CLEI offers Spanish immersion classes and English as a foreign language. Classes at CLEI is focused on developing the four language skills (listening, reading, writing, speaking) of our students successfully in the shortest time possible. Our teachers have the personality, experience, and charisma to create a fun and dynamic learning environment, which keeps the students motivated.
Our qualified English students have the opportunity to travel to the United States to explore the culture and improve their English skills through a four-month work experience every summer.
Also, CLEI works closely with orphanages and poor neighborhoods in the Dominican Republic. Programs in the United States collect toys, canned food, and medicine, which are donated to the under-privileged children in the Dominican Republic.
